Periodic Table
Click an element for atomic data, atomic number, symbol, category, and IUPAC atomic mass. Each cell is colour-coded by chemical family. A MoldChem reagent catalog is coming soon.
How to use this tool
A clickable periodic table for quick lookups. Pick any element to read its key atomic data; the colour of each cell tells you which chemical family it belongs to.
What to do
- Click an element: any cell opens its detail panel; hover to preview number, symbol, name and mass.
- Colour legend: each category (alkali metal, noble gas, metalloid…) has its own colour. Click a family in the legend below the table to spotlight just those elements; click again to clear.
Reading the result
The side panel shows the element's atomic number, symbol and name, its period, group and category, and the IUPAC atomic mass in g/mol, the same value used by the Molecular Weight tool.
Worked example
Click carbon (C) to read atomic number 6, category nonmetal, and an atomic mass of ≈ 12.011 g/mol.
Methodology
Atomic weights are IUPAC 2021 conventional values; elements with no stable isotope show the mass number of their most stable / longest-lived isotope in brackets (e.g. Tc [98], Og [294]). Cell colours follow the standard chemical-family scheme shown in the legend. A MoldChem reagent catalog with live stock data is planned for a future release.
Notes
- All 118 elements are included. The lanthanides (57–71) and actinides (89–103) are shown as the conventional detached block below the main table, with marker cells at group 3.
- Hover any cell to read its number, symbol, name, and atomic mass; arrow keys move between cells once the table is focused.
